your scent was always my greatest weakness
i wanted to wear your love like a natural fragrance
i remember that time after that weekend
the traces of you in the bed
held me back from washing the sheets
for weeks
every time i climbed inside
you again
inhaled your lingering essence
waking in the morning to you
us entwined there together
in that state between a dream
and a memory
